Standing on God’s Promises
FORGIVENESS
As we complete our unit on the Lord’s Prayer, we consider the passage, “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us”.
Sin afflicts us all. It has separated us from a perfect relationship with God but it also affects our interactions with those around us. It isn’t difficult to find hurt as a result of someone’s words or actions and often we ourselves play a role. With these words of the Lord’s prayer, we come on our knees to God asking His forgiveness for all of those thoughtless words and actions or inactions that have not honored Him. God freely and mercifully extends that forgiveness to us through Jesus, His Son. If God can forgive us, who caused His only Son to die, we can ask Him to help us forgive those who have sinned against us as well.
Live in His forgiving love this week.!

Thank you to those whose children were present to sing on Sunday. The anthems certainly praised the Lord and we were glad to have you with us.
