God Knows Your Name
Isaiah 43:1 "I have called you by name, You are Mine," says the Lord.
When I was young, my friends would come to the door and yell my name. I knew they wanted me to come out and play. It felt wonderful to be called out. Later, My parents would call our names to tell us it was time to go in.
Our names are important, They tell the world who we are and also who we are not. Parents give a great deal of thought to naming their babies. God knows our names: He knows everthing about us down to the number of hairs on our heads. Our God, who knows even when a sparrow falls, knows us intimately. He knows our hearts- the good and the ugly. It was His love for us that caused Him to send His Son, Jesus, to save us from the disease of sin.
Assured that He knows YOUR name, this year begins knowing we have a loving and wonderful God. He knows us, loves, us, desires to be with us, and will never leave us.
As we walk together this year, let's know God's name too.
Known to Him,
Mrs. Cindy Wachs
