The Holy Trinity: I must admit I don't really understand the mystery of Three-in-One and One-in-Three...do you? It's an impossible concept for a mere mortal mind. And it certainly seems like an odd reason to celebrate a festival Sunday in the church year.

There is plenty about the Holy Trinity that we don't understand. But THIS we DO understand: Our God is three persons in one holy Being; and those three persons in that one Being provide everything we need to live life, everything we need for our forgiveness and salvation, everything we need to keep on living a life that is pleasing to God, and everything we need for eternal life.

If that's not reason to celebrate, then I don't know what is! Come to church on Sunday and praise the One who made and sustains you, has saved you, and sanctifies you to be His own.

Pray for Mt. Calvary, that each and every member would recognize the need to regularly praise the Holy Trinity! Bring others to church this Trinity Sunday, where they will see all that our Triune God has done to win life and salvation! Tell others about a God who has everything needful to provide for us physical and spiritual life!
