Mount Calvary was a beehive of activity Friday, June 14, when 40 volunteers converged on the premises to lend their muscles to moving chairs, tables, file cabinets and books from the old north side addition to the new 15,000 square-foot addition. The volunteers represented a diverse group of church members, staff, teachers and students. The original plan was to move the items over to the new classrooms in two days. But the work was accomplished in one morning when the bevy of volunteers arrived on site. At one point, six to nine men hefted a 6 x 11 foot bookcase through the building into its new location in the library-media center. It was quite a sight indeed. Thanks to all who helped out.
