Praying for Revival
By Pastor Eggebrecht @ 10:34 AM :: 82 Views :: Pastors Message

I want you to know that I've been praying for you. Yes...YOU...the one reading this articlel. Many prayer thoughts have been filling my head this past week, and have been sent up to the Throne of Grace.

I have been praying for YOU: the one who is in church every Sunday. If the church doors are open, you are there. Through thick and thin, you are there. It warms my heart to know that you have such a hunger and thirst for the gifts that God gives in His church when we worship together.

I have been praying that you would be fed with whatever it is you need to spiritually "make it" through each week. I have also been praying that you would be a witness and example to others; that your faithfulness would be a shining light. And I have been praying that you would be a "bring-er": seeking and finding opportunities to bring others to worship at Mt. Calvary.

I have also been praying for YOU: the one who occasionally, rarely, or almost never makes it to church. You have been on my heart and mind a great deal lately. I hope that you are doing well. I have missed seeing you at church. Our fellowship is incomplete without you.

I have been praying that you will come to church soon -- and often. I don't want you to do it just to make me happy (even though it will). Do it because God says He wants you to. Do it because God will bless you in worship on Sunday morning by forgiving your sins and strengthening your faith. You will help to make our fellowship complete.

Pray with me, that Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church would be filled full on Sunday mornings with people eager to receive God's gifts. Bring others to worship on Sunday morning, so that they, too, will be blessed. Tell others about Jesus, the One who revives our spirits through the gift of His grace.
