Have you ever had a time when you were ill or lonely? Have you ever had a loved one die? Has someone come up to you and said," I'm praying for you?" It is wonderful to have people praying for our needs. What is even better is knowing Jesus Himself prays. He prays for us when we sin, when we face temptations, and when we are sad or lonely. What do you think Jesus is praying for in your life today? We know that whatever Jesus prays for will be the very best for us. He knows the ways in which we need to grow spiritually, the sins we struggle with, the difficulties that will arise, and the decisions we will face. Jesus is praying for all these things. We are never on our own. He is always helping us. Not only did Jesus suffer and die to take away our sins, He continues to do things for us everyday. How good is it to know how much Jesus cares for us!
EARLY DISMISSAL & SPRING BREAK
As the 3rd Quarter comes to an end, school will dismiss at 11:30 next Friday, March 19th. There is NO SCHOOL March 20-28 for Spring Break. Classes will resume on Monday, March 29th.
OUR LENTED JOURNEY CONTINUES
Lent is the 40 days leading up to Easter when we reflect on our own sinfulness as well as our need for a Savior. In these 40 days, we follow Jesus as He makes His way to the cross to pay the price for our sin and conquers sin, death, and the devil - and giving us the victory of eternal life in heaven! This series of Wednesday services for Lent explores the meaning of "The Sign of Jonah" as we follow Jonah on his journey...and Jesus on His way to the cross. Please join us for worship every Wednesday evening through March 24th, at 6:30pm.
RE- ENROLLMENT PROCESS
The March Open Enrollment runs until March 20th! When you bring enrollment papers and documentation (income verification, birth certificates for 4K-1st), it is necessary for you to meet with Ms. Neuwirth for approximately 10 minutes in order to complete the entire process. You are encouraged to call the school office 873-3466 to schedule an appointment; however, an one is not required. Thanks to those who have come with all the required documentation needed to complete the registration process!
ATTENDANCE AT SCHOOL
Mt. Calvary’s expectation is that students are in school every day except for reasons of illness or family emergency. Parent’s attitudes about the importance of school attendance and punctuality are frequently reflected in the habits and attitudes a child displays at school. Excessive absences as well as a pattern of unexcused absences may jeopardize your child’s ability to re-enroll. Thank you for ensuring that your child is in school so that he/she has every opportunity to learn!
TERRA NOVA TESTING THIS WEEK
Students in Grades 1-8 have been taking the Terra Nova Achievement Tests of Basic Skills this week. Results will be sent home in mid-May.
